It all started back in 1979... I had just graduated Antioch High School and within two weeks I had found myself a job working with McCullough Construction. They were a full service General Engineering Co. doing Asphalt, Grading & Excavating, Storm drain, Sewer main, Water Main and Joint trench. I was recruited to the Water main crew after bouncing around to some of the other crews until they figured out what to do with the new 'green horn'.Â
âI spent four years there working under the foreman I consider the person who instilled the work ethic I have today, Chuck Biglow. My move to the Concrete trade came when a new neighbor of mine that was a Concrete Pump operator said that I should try learning to finish concrete and be able to earn some 'side cash' on the weekends. Just a coincidence that Swisher Concrete was just across the street from McCullough. I went over there and applied for the job. After about four years with them I obtained my Contractors License in 1986 and so it began... Been working Concrete ever since..!!
When not working, I spend my time with my wife of 42yrs Bonnie, and Abby our three year old Yellow Lab. I enjoy the outdoors. Fishing from my Seadoo jetski, hiking, RV camping. I'm a sponge for knowledge, so I spend a lot of time on the internet researching just about everything..    Â
